The I’m Prinkie Poems

Each volume will have at least one poem that is inspired by the stories within it. In Volume 1, the Fireside chats and other memories about my relationship with my grandmother inspired my never-ending poem: I Be Kazie. This poem is on the back cover of Volume 1: I’m Prinkie.

I Be Kazie

I be Kazie. I lived in a box.

I represent the knowledge and wisdom

Of the generations before me.

I be Kazie. I lived in a box.

I am the foundation

Of all generations after me.

I be Kazie. I lived in a box.

I gave my daughter
